Caring for
your socks

A few things worth knowing — so the socks you love stay soft, clean and close for as long as possible.

Three small things to remember

Store them well

Keep your socks in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Heat and UV exposure can cause fibres to fade and weaken over time — a drawer or fabric box works beautifully.

Air them out

If a pair has been stored for a while, give them a little time in natural light before wearing. Sunlight is a gentle, natural antibacterial — a short airing keeps them fresh and your skin happy.

Know when to let go

Because socks sit close to skin all day and absorb a great deal, we suggest replacing them every three months. It is one of the quietest kindnesses you can offer your feet.

Washing

How to wash them

Our socks are made from premium combed cotton and delicate blends. A little care in the wash goes a long way.

Do

Turn inside out before washing
Machine wash cold — 30°C or below, gentle cycle
Hand wash in cool water for delicate styles
Wash similar colours together
Air dry — lay flat or hang in shade

Avoid

Bleach or harsh detergents
Fabric softener — breaks down elastic fibres
Tumble drying on high heat
Ironing directly over prints or embroidery
Wringing — gently press instead
